So got out my dad's old Pflueger Supreme 510, and was floored by how well it operates. Very old looking, but basicly full featured. The only feature it doesn't have that most of my new reels do is a magnetic brake system. I really want to keep this thing lubed and ready so I can use it from time to time. I would like to find a rod that is a period match for it, even if it is not a fplueger rod. Any ideas on a period match peice?, or where I could go online to find info, or go to buy one?
I have a friend at Paulbunyanbaitco.com His name is Alan. He specializes in MN made fishing tackle, and is very good with old equipment. He has an unbelievable collection. The Gander Mountain in Forest Lake has a sample of his collection on display in their seminar room. It takes up the whole room! He should be able to help you.

People who fish for food, and sport be damned, are called pot-fishermen. The more expert ones are called crack pot-fishermen. All other fishermen are called crackpot fishermen. This is confusing. ~ Ed Zern, 1947
