Well, we're in the mid-summer deeper fishing type pattern up here on Winnie. You guys should be trying the weedlines on the deep side and into the drop-offs. This weekend we used primarily lindy rigs with leeches and crawlers. We fished mostly north and some of the humps in the middle. Fished in 20 to 25 feet. Caught a few in excess of 25" and some good eaters too.
I heard Pokegama has been producing lots of northerns and smallmouths. A few Walleyes too in the deeper water.
Even eminent chartered accountants are known, in their capacity as fishermen, blissfully to ignore differences between seven and ten inches, half a pound and two pounds, three fish and a dozen fish. ~ William Sherwood Fox, Silken Lines and Silver Hooks, 1954
