Hey guys - I am a new member. I am taking my 80 year old father up to the big pond in Garrison mn. Does any body have a report on the fishing and the areas that would be worth checking out in mid- June. Are you live bait rigging or trolling. If any one needs info on Lake Pepin or pools by Lax WI let me know.
As of right now, the fish are biting pretty good everywhere, but, at the right times. Shallow rock piles or rocky points are doing well early and late with slip bobbers and red hook/leech or jig/leech or anytime when the wind is blowing in on them. During the day work the edge of the flats with a lindy and leech, 6' long snell, or a crawler and spinner. If you are graphing fish off the bottom, say 2ft, they are hunting for food and you just have to figure out what the want that day. (blow up a crawler or get the leech up with a float). If they are tight to the bottom slow it down and keep it smallish, because they are likely biting lite. Night ban ends June 14th midnight, and the night bite should be great with theway the evening reports are right now. Good luck, have fun, and be safe.
