Hey All, Heading up to Bailey's on Kabakona Bay (West end of Leech) next week and looking for some info on the walleyes. Are they hitting leeches yet? Reports sound good for the catch so far. Looking to fish the West end of the lake (I've been out on Leech when the wind came up -- ugly!) How are the hardwoods? Always had luck with a leech on a floating jig head (modified Lindy Rig). What are they biting on? Thanks.
Did really well this past weekend fishing from 10 to 15 feet using crawlers and leeches with harnesses. Fished around Stoney Point and dropoffs in that area. Lots of people out this weekend. So yeah... leeches are working. Typical walleye bite for the area... fish for a few hours, limit out in a half hour.

Even eminent chartered accountants are known, in their capacity as fishermen, blissfully to ignore differences between seven and ten inches, half a pound and two pounds, three fish and a dozen fish. ~ William Sherwood Fox, Silken Lines and Silver Hooks, 1954
