Are there any lakes around Wyoming,MN to fish that aren't overun with recreation boaters and jet skis on a weekend? My nephew lives up there and I am looking for a place to take him to catch a few fish, either game fish or panfish.
If you head a bit east, you got some great fishing lakes... Green Little Green, Chisago, South and North Center lakes, etc. I have been getting fairly good reports from all. Little Green has been good for crappies. Chisago chain has been producing walleyes.
Not sure of the traffic, though. The problem you have is anything within 25 miles of the Metro area is bound to have the usual recreational boaters out there.
North and South center are getting less traffic with the low water and landing conditions but the fishing is still good. Also Chisago is good with alot of very shallow water you can keep out of the way of them and have some great fishing. It is also great shore fishing with the low water. Little further south is Big Marine another good lake with room for all.
Three-fourths of the Earth's surface is water, and one-fourth is land. It is quite clear that the good Lord intended us to spend triple the amount of time fishing as taking care of the lawn. ~ Chuck Clark
