Yeah... I got out. I gotta find some different lakes to fish. The bass were fun, everything else was pretty small. Actually caught a couple of walleyes about 8 inches... yep, topped out at 8 inches. We did get some nice sunnies though, in between the hundred or so 5 inch crappies that refused to leave us alone. I did hook into something bigger where we caught the walleyes, but the hook wasn't very well set and I never got a look at what it was.
The pressure on this lake seems to be getting pretty high. I think some of the nicer fish are disappearing.
I was on Bald Eagle last wed we started out fishing for walleyes but nothing happening so my buddy stated casting for pike and I did the same I could not keep the bass off my lure so I switch for sunfish must of caught 30 or so small sunnies. I got very sunburned but still had a good time.
Even eminent chartered accountants are known, in their capacity as fishermen, blissfully to ignore differences between seven and ten inches, half a pound and two pounds, three fish and a dozen fish. ~ William Sherwood Fox, Silken Lines and Silver Hooks, 1954
