Due to a last minute cancellation, we are loooking for 2 more fishermen to join us on our annual fly-in trip to Cananda. The dates for the fishing trip are Friday, May 28 through Saturday, June 5. We will drive up to Ignace, Ontario on May 28th, fly in Saturday morning, stay the week and fly out the following Saturday morning. The cost is $700 per person. That includes the flight in and out, cabin, food, boat, motor and fuel. It is rare to see anyone other than the people in our crew because thelake is so large (15 X 25 miles) with countless bays, points and islands. We have two cabins (the only two cabins on the south end of lake Seseganaga) and need a total of 10 people. We have 8 so need two more. One cabin sleeps 6 (three bedrooms) and the other cabin sleeps 4 (two bedrooms). Please email me if you're interested (or know anyone who is!).
Odin, that sounds like quite the favor to ask of a family member... I think there are steps you can take so that your allowed into Canada even with the DWI on your record but it requires jumping through some hoops first.
On the border of mexico we were told that we couldn't cross with the cartons of cigs we wanted to bring back with us. We simply walked fifteen minutes down the line and walked right in. No one said a word. I'm guessing if we were darker skinned it may have been a bit more difficult. Especially in Arizona
BTW, a week long canada trip for $700 is a heck of a deal. I wish I could take you up on that gofish! I'm sure you'll find someone who will!

People who fish for food, and sport be damned, are called pot-fishermen. The more expert ones are called crack pot-fishermen. All other fishermen are called crackpot fishermen. This is confusing. ~ Ed Zern, 1947
