Crappies and sunnies are biting on the lake in 5 to 6 feet. Water temps are around the 50 degree mark. Some of the crappies are getting up to the 12 inch range though 9 to 10 inches seems to be the norm along with the usual dinks. Pretty good start for the year, but I am thinking it's going to get better yet.

Even eminent chartered accountants are known, in their capacity as fishermen, blissfully to ignore differences between seven and ten inches, half a pound and two pounds, three fish and a dozen fish. ~ William Sherwood Fox, Silken Lines and Silver Hooks, 1954
