Just so everybody knows

Starting 8 a.m. Monday March 29, open burning will be prohibited in Aitkin. Anoka. Benton. Cass. Crow Wing. Chisago. Carver. Dakota. Hennepin. Hubbard. Isanti. Itasca. Kanabec. Mille Lacs. Morrison. Pine. Ramsey. Scott. Sherburne. Stearns. Todd. Wadena. Washington. Wright. and the southern half of Beltrami.

I love a bonfire, I'll post when it's lifted.

Good question, one I would like to know myself. I always just thought "open" meant anything without a covered top, but now I'm not sure at all. Really it does not seem that dry right now.

If anyone else has knowledge please share. Otherwise the DNR is only open till 430 so I will call them tomorrow for clarification.

Camp fires are still ok. Has to be smaller than 3X3, clean burning wood only, and has to be out cold before leaving it.
