Well... unfortunately I left the camera at home on accident because I could be showing off some great pictures right now.
I used a dock to access a metro lake here and headed out hole hopping old unfrozen holes. found a bunch of holes right on 10-12 ft ten feet away from an underwater point that is about 4 ft deep with weeds.
Not one crappie under ten inches and a bunch of twelves and even a couple thirteens. Kid you not these were the healthiest and meatiest looking crappies of the last two seasons. Kicked myself the whole time for not bringing my camera out.
Oh well, it was really fun and I'll try again tomorrow evening for an hour or two. hopefully they'll be in the same spot.
The ice away from shore was still 15" and more in some spots and this is on a lake that really starts flowing this time of year.
Three-fourths of the Earth's surface is water, and one-fourth is land. It is quite clear that the good Lord intended us to spend triple the amount of time fishing as taking care of the lawn. ~ Chuck Clark
