I have been looking at buying the navionics north (150 retail) or lake master minnesota (100 retail) it looks like the navionics has way more maps. And a few more of my favorite lakes in it. But i'm still kinda up in the air. I am using a H2Oc GPS

Anyone using these chips right now have any advise on which way i should go. I fish pretty much always in minnesota.

Normally it's presumed if you fish Minnesota exclusively then the LakeMaster is the way to go. But if you say Navionics has a few lakes that you fish that Lakemaster has then maybe Navonics is for you. I'm pretty sure the High definition maps from both cards are about the same and the other non-Hi-Def maps are generally just basic DNR map's anyway.

What I like about the LakeMaster chips along with the highly detailed road and public hunting base maps is there are so many around you can get a used one for $50 or less.

Ding Ding on what pier said. I just took a look at what lakes were my core and what kind of contours I could get from each vendor. Lakemaster was my choice.

Thanks guys, I looked into it and the navionics doesnt have nearly as good of road maps on it.

Does the lake master have boat launch locations on it?
