Not sure about where to stay, but that body of water along with Cass and the smaller lakes connected are pretty good for Walleye. People do really well during the opener up there. You might even latch onto a Muskie. Early in the season, stick to the shallows and flowage. If you are planning on heading up there in the late spring to summer... you'll be better off boating over to Cass and giving that a try.
