Out on a NE metro lake. the bight has been light lately and putting fish in the bucket has gotten tougher. Fortunately it has me searching lots of new spots on lots of old lakes.
I moved all the way in near what's left of the weeds in a flat area. Fished all day today in 5-10 ft of water. Chasing perch on a small lake not know for nice perch. even though we caught what seamed like 50,000 small perch we had a blast. one out of every five to ten perch was a big fat jumbo. NICE! They were so big that I only kept five of the approximately 50 nice ones we caught. They had some major meat.
The day started with me getting stuck on the lake. Then when i finally got to the spot my vex. stopped working again. Lucky my buds was workng fine and we marked and drilled about 30 holes. then we just hopped hole to hole catching fish. It ended up being one of my better outings this season.
If the fish aren't biting get your stuff and move!
