Wish I was!!
I have to go re run a bunch of water lines through a buds house. I'm running all PEX lines though so it's a pretty quick job.

I guess they are doing airplane rides for the kids. That'll be cool!

WOW!

I'm glad they got a good turnout!

Who else gives out free airplane rides? That's just awesome.

The day before I saw a guy in his plane skim over the lake then go right between two huge cottonwoods. It was really cool and I bet he was no more then 20 ft off the ground.

I went to the contest and have a ? if anyone is an annual goer.

Is it always in the same spot?

I brought my gps and the depths seem to be off about five feet everywhere. To me it seems like 90% of the holes are in five feet of water or less.

I know lake levels are down and I was not on Centerville this summer. Is this normal depths for the contest?

That is the same area they always use, I don't know why but lake levels are down 3-5ft on most metro lakes some more.

I think with the snow lots of these lakes will be a little higher next year. Honestly, contests like this are more about going out and having a little fun more than getting fish. The spot is just convenient.

Logan, I agree. I was not complaining, just wondering.

Does anyone know the total amount of fish caught out there?

Sauzal, I know. I didn't think you were complaining. In fact, I wish they would move it too. But I wonder how the parking would work? Did everyone park on the lake this year?

I would have to disagree with moving it. The spot they put it on has a few fish of all varietys and if they moved it to a better spot it would really hurt the late seaon bite in a lake i like to get some nice late season sunnies in. Maybe i'm just a little selfish but i agree that contests are not all about catching a ton of fish, more of getting together for some fun.
