Raining the entire time, windy too but it was 35 degrees so not all bad. We drove out, drilled a hole and marked a fish sitting at 10 feet in 13 feet of water. unfolded the house set her down, finished drilling the other holes and we were set in our spot hoping there would be fish. I hate moving around in the rain and wind.
I just fixed my vexilar so when I first dropped the ducer into the hole I thought it was broken again. Solid flashes all the way up. I leaned over and looked down the hole and saw about fifty fish right beneath us. Thank god!
The rest of the night consisted of fish after fish after fish etc... Maybe two of which I would actually eat. All perch, sunfish and crappie and pretty much all small...
A day earlier I spent drilling and moving and drilling and moving but today I refused to move regardless of if they were small or not.
It was fun.. If you want to bring a child out fishing let me know. I'll give you a spot for endless action. Any kind of bait as long as it's small will work and be prepared for a random pike.
