We started yesterday at 7:00am but after a hour of non active fish we started scouting other areas. It was fun to run and gun but we had similar results all over the lake. This particular lake will do this to me once and again. We bailed for lunch and a brew with intentions to head back for the evening bite. We got back and drilled holes in a new spot. I wanted to try a new set of jigs and boy were we impressed! Vince dropped a black and white “Gill Pill” and it was game on for him! I headed out the other way on the holes with “T.H.E. Jig” and there were just too many big sunfish that wanted the Pill. We had a hour and a half of sunfish when they decided they had enough of us. Turns out the good fish gods turned the switch and the crappies came in! I was back on them with “T.H.E, Jig” and it was game on for another hour and a half! Great night and the Lemon Pepper Fish will be cooking tonight!
