Well I'm in milaca so don't want to go too far maybe like a 60 mile radius,just need to find a lake where the kids wont get board,and can catch some fish!!

I recommend asking the DNR. Write them an e-mail and tell them you want a lake that will provide lots of action for the kids.
They'll give you a list of some real fertile lakes with abundant panfish.
I have done this before and they don't have any problem helping out.

You might want to try Clear Lake by Mille Lacs. Lots of sunnies and fun for the kids.

THANKS we have had some luck on shakopee to up by mille lacs but it's kind of hit or miss.
