All, the Legislature has asked the U of M to develop a 25 yr Minnesota Water Sustainability Framework and we need anglers to speak up.

Whenever the Clean Water Legacy amendment comes up, I hear lots of complaining, nay-sayers, I told you so'ers, yada yada. Get over it. We are talking millions of dollars here that will go directly to Clean Water in MN. So, it's time to speak up. Your comments questions and ideas will become part of shaping this framework. So please consider attending one of these listening sessions. If anglers aren't at these types of sessions talking about fishing, recreation, and aquatic habitat, don't be shocked then, if these dollars end up being spent on other areas.

Minnesotans will have the chance to voice their opinion in person on how the state should invest resources to protect clean water at statewide public meetings beginning Jan. 19, 2010 coordinated by the University of Minnesota’s Water Resources Center.

The meetings, called “listening sessions,” will be facilitated by staff from the Water Resources Center and Minnesota Board of Water and Soil Resources and are a chance for people to voice their opinions on a range of water-related issues from boating and water recreation, to priorities for cleaning up polluted lakes and streams.
