The ice fishing season is well under way. just like every other year the fishing has been great some days to poor others. Its fishing .I have again kept busy keepeing everything running and clean. We have battled mother nature from super cold to 12 inches of snow. I'm sure there will be more to come. I have become friends with the new owners of the old hudecs now beacon harbor. Great people who have remodled the motel and its just like new.. Nows the time to make those reservation for the fishing opener as there is not a lot of lodging here in waskish and they could use the support.
We already in to the 26th day of working on the ice. The fishing has been good to not so good. catching 40 or 50 fish out of one of our houses has not happened. Not even sure if that's possible to have that good of walleye action but time will tell as we keep searching for the mother load. the best chance for a crappie is out of beacon harbor as we do have utah out there. We will again be moving Utah and pushing it further west
Even eminent chartered accountants are known, in their capacity as fishermen, blissfully to ignore differences between seven and ten inches, half a pound and two pounds, three fish and a dozen fish. ~ William Sherwood Fox, Silken Lines and Silver Hooks, 1954
