Hi I'm looking to buy a new auger ( all i have owned have been used). just can't seemed to make up my mind so i turned here looking for advice. jiffy, eskimo, lazer mag, whick of these three would be the most reliable? i'm leaning towards a eskimo but don't know anyone tha owns one. what do you think? looking in the $300.00 price point.
My brother bought a new eskimo and had the pull rope pop off a couple of times. We had to take it apart and put it back togther to reattach the rope. Kind of a poor design and a pain, but once we modified it a bit, it seems to work okay. A real bummer when it happens out on the ice, though...
StrikeMasters Augers come with a German made motor...Solo...they have been making motors for 50 years. I've seen them running on the ice.Thr run at a much higher torque...you can go wrong with a strike Master.
