It's the time when the posts go crazy. We all bunker down for the week and play on our computers, instead of playing/working outside. We hunker down during these bitter cold days(well not Sandburr--he goes to Mexico!!!), and dream of our first hardwater trip. I was up to my usual ice lake(Rush) this last weekend to check out a couple fish houses. They had 6-7" ice in a lot of areas and a number of people fishing out there. I'll wait til this weekend. Can't wait to see these posts start exploding again! Let's get plenty of reports in this weekend.
First trip out will be L.O.W. for 3 days over Christmas.A friend and I do this every year as we don't have any family get togethers and we get a real good deal. We've been renting a sleeper fishhouse from a guy in Zipple bay.The fishing is awesome and the night bite was pretty good last year. I can't wait!!
Even eminent chartered accountants are known, in their capacity as fishermen, blissfully to ignore differences between seven and ten inches, half a pound and two pounds, three fish and a dozen fish. ~ William Sherwood Fox, Silken Lines and Silver Hooks, 1954
