In Becker County, Cotton Lake is known for some nice bass.

it becker county i fish leif lake a lot but i am only catching 4 and a half pounders and i want a 5 pounder so i can mount it

Maybe it's just me, but I wouldn't mount a 5 lb Bass.. I woudln't even keep it.. it's near the top of the food chain so I would release it to reproduce. To me Bass is more catch and release sport than any of the other fish you catch. now.. if I somehow broke the state record and found a 9 lb largemouth.. that's a different story...

incidently here's the page with the state records once again:

the state records recorded this year so far are a river redhorse (which I'd never heard of)12 lbs 9 ounces and a green sunfish 1 lb 4.8 oz.. and a 3 lb 10.6 ounce longnose sucker.

I believe a redhorse, river or otherwise, is also a type of sucker. My father-in-law calls them that all the time.
