Last Saturday July 9th, the Minn. Pole Benders held the Pan-O-Pog Bass Tournament. There was 40 boats with 80 people on Lake Marion. The winning team was Sean Frame & Jerry Hawke. They had 6 fish at 24lbs 10 ozs. The largest was a 5 pounder. All the fish caught in the tournament were released. A number of teams had 4 pound plus fish. Not too bad for a 598 acre lake in the Twin Cities.
Even eminent chartered accountants are known, in their capacity as fishermen, blissfully to ignore differences between seven and ten inches, half a pound and two pounds, three fish and a dozen fish. ~ William Sherwood Fox, Silken Lines and Silver Hooks, 1954
