Interesting selections. Do you use the Airplane Jig and Buckshot Spoon in the winter? Are you refering to the nothland buckshot rattle spoon? I have never tried jigging spoons before. Maybe that is something I should try to pick up some pike. I would think that the dog days of summer would have been a great time to try that in deep water. I have a hard time imagining that jigging a spoon for big fish is going to be successful in shallow water, especially if you can see the bottom yourself. So I think I just high-jacked my own thread blush smiley)

I agree Pikelover, none of those would be my top 20. Although, I get a lot of follows with a tandem blade spinner when bass fishing.

#1 has to be a black bucktail
#2 yellow bucktail
#3 poe's giant jackpot
#4 monster gold doctor spoon
#5 large crayfish jig for sight fishing, slow presentation
#6 anything else in your tackle box

Success is going to be built around timing, technique, persistance, and variety. Sounds like fishing doesn't it! smile smiley

I have had northerns come into a spearing hole while jigging a big spoon that had no hooks. Can't say its common but it happens.

sorry I got nothing on muskies.
