Well, the daytime bite has been tough up on the big pond. We caught 8 all weekend with 4 of them over the slot. Night was a bit better then day, but still tough. Most were caught right on the flats and we graphed a lot of fish, just hard to get them to move. We threw everything at them, spinners, bouncers, lindys. All the fish were caught on cranks. It was very nice weather, though... a full moon and almost t-shirt weather. I really think it was too calm for any good fishing, but it was nice to get out on such a beautiful weekend.

I saw almost the exact same thing on the pond. Lots of fish graphed but hardly any takers. Maybe the full moon spooked them. But you are right, it was a great weekend weather-wise grin smiley

Also spent the 5th thru 7th up on the pond with absolutely no luck whatsoever. Tried trolling deep running crankbaits, leeches on lindy rigs, gulp emerald shiners on jigs--nothing. Worked the west side from south to north. The launch operators also said it was very slow, catching very few fish. I'd like to take my Dad up there in a couple of weeks, sure hope it improves as we get into Fall.
