I don't ice fish. The 2 times I did go out we didn't catch a thing. The first time was with my dad when I was like 14. The next time was last winter. Both times I was out there for about 5 hours and didn't get any thing. So if you guys can put me on some fish I'd like to try it again to see what all the excitement is all about.
Trust me. Ice fishing is only fun if you are catching them. Of course, if you have one of them fancy fish-houses that have satellite TV, stereo, heater, stove, bunk beds, etc. etc., then I suppose you just go out and party and it would be no big deal if you caught fish or not. But most of my experience is either being exposed on the ice (not fun if you are not catching them) or dragging a portable canvas type thing (still not fun if you are not catching them).
Maybe we should do a little big sandy get together? I have a ton of equipment to help out. I have never ice fished sandy but gezzz how hard could it be......................ha ha ha . Still would like to get together. Keep in mind my wife is due in Feb..
Let me talk to my brother-in-law, I think he has fished it in the winter before. We could stay at with Tap,Tap,Tap I think he also knows the good spots. I'll find out were to fish and we'll set some thing up.
Even eminent chartered accountants are known, in their capacity as fishermen, blissfully to ignore differences between seven and ten inches, half a pound and two pounds, three fish and a dozen fish. ~ William Sherwood Fox, Silken Lines and Silver Hooks, 1954
