I just wanted to warn everyone that I'm heading up there the 19th to do some topwater bass fishing. My problem is the cabin we rented was booked for what would be the last day of our trip. So I have a day to go elsewhere or try something different. I thought mmmmmmmm Musky!!!
I'm comming from Illinois and we are going to fish Clearwater, I thought it would be nice to fish somewhere in southern Minnesota that last day, kinda on the way home. There is only 2 places I see that might be worth it. Minnetonka or Zumbro. Minnetonka is huge and I wouldn't know where to start? Does anyone have any information to help me?
Minnetonka should be well marked for any shallows. Tonka has a lot of bass that should be catchable by any normal method. Not sure if they are shallow or deep but I've been finding the bass a little deeper in the pond I've been fishing.
everybody keeps telling me to go to french lake to catch muskies so then i finally went and it was a dissapointment, we didnt get one hit, not even when we fished for bass and the water was pea soup, they say to fish it in fall but exactly when does it fire up?

People who fish for food, and sport be damned, are called pot-fishermen. The more expert ones are called crack pot-fishermen. All other fishermen are called crackpot fishermen. This is confusing. ~ Ed Zern, 1947
