I'm looking to take the wife and kids away for a weekend in the woods. I'd like to rentak a two bedroom cabin somewhere in north central Minnesota. Hope to go the first weekend in Sept.and want to spend around 150.00 a nite. I want it to be nice but I don't need anything too fancy. And of course, if theres some fishing nearby I would not be upset. Anybody got suggestions? I could use a name or number in a serious way. Thanks!!!
Check out Bowen Lodge on Cutfoot/Winnie. They run discounts on cabins in the fall (30% off, minimum 3-night stay). Top-notch people and the fishing there in the fall is second to none. Believe me, I stay there every year for a week, and know from experience that you wouldn't be disappointed. There is a link on this site under MN Resorts. Give them a look and have a good trip whatever location you decide on!! IMO that is the best time of year to visit/live up here!
People who fish for food, and sport be damned, are called pot-fishermen. The more expert ones are called crack pot-fishermen. All other fishermen are called crackpot fishermen. This is confusing. ~ Ed Zern, 1947
