Hi all, Anyone know if it is safe to navigate the St.Croix River if I launch from William O'Brien State Park. I would be in a Lund Classic 1625 deep/wide 40 hp tiller. I can typically navigate 2 ft. water. Thanks for your input, and continue to enjoy your summer. Gary.
In normal years the River gets pretty low in that area I want to say around 4 feet maybe a bit deeper on the Minnesota shoreline if memory serves me right. With the drought we are in I'm guessing its pretty skinny up there right now. The good news is its a pretty sandy area of the river so the damage by bottoming out wouldn't be as bad as it could be. I'm guessing it will involve a lot of trial and error with an emphasize on Error!
Tough call! I'll see if I can find some up to date info for you!
