just bought my first boat and would like to ask for some advice and/or help on where in general to look for sunfish on lakes. i understand that each lake is different, and pressure plays a part but whatever info i can get would be great. I am a pike guy and have a pretty good idea how to fish them but sunnies whether on open or frozen water i am clueless. i fish green lake near princeton and will be trying briggs, julia, mille lacs and others. so thanks in advance and good luck. ice cracking
Find the weedlines and start from there. I have been picking off a few Sunnies on the edges and on top of and in select pockets directly in the weeds. Small plastics tipped with Larvae or maggots have worked pretty good for me but Sunnies will usually hit anything if they're in the vicinity.
Three-fourths of the Earth's surface is water, and one-fourth is land. It is quite clear that the good Lord intended us to spend triple the amount of time fishing as taking care of the lawn. ~ Chuck Clark
