Alaska for Salmon is my realistic goal or Spain for Giant Wells Catfish which may be a bit of a long shot!

Tonight I'll have to settle for a shore-spot on the mighty Mississippi and thats ok too... smile smiley

Winnie/Cutfoot. Not only do I know it well, but it is relatively close to my home (about 68 mile drive). Can be very challenging, but, with the amount of structure available to fish, usually active fish can be found. If winds are too high, you can fish in Cutfoot and still catch fish. Brings back lots of memories of fishing with my dad as a kid as well and kind of cool to fish those same spots with my own kids. As a matter of fact, I'm leaving Sat. to stay for a week there, so that answers your question.

Bowen's Lodge, we stay there every year, same week. Have eaten many times at GDP, they do a nice job on your fish you can bring in for them to cook. Another good place to eat, that also cooks your fish, is the restaurant attached to the White Oak Suites in Deer River. Very good food there as well!

I went to the Churchill river when I was 18(26hr drive). I would like to return there some day. 20 lbs Northerns were very common and the Walleyes were caught on every cast.

I would also like to go to Erie for the "big Pigs"

I think it would have to be Alaska to fish the rivers for King Salmon, or Alaska for Halibut out of Homer, either one would be fine with me smile smiley I know my wife would love to do that too!!!
