Jake, Steve and myself took 3 clients for a half day trip and the lake did not disappoint. Between the 2 boats we kept 27 fish in 4 hours. Fished with a variety of baits and caught fish on all. Mainly fished the humps from 15 to 21ft. When the wind picked up so did the fishing. The average size was around 16 inch, with some close to 20 inches. No slot on Bowstring!! The hunps we fished didnt matter as all of them held fish. If you haven't tried Bowstring before give it a try. The bite is on. Heres a couple of pics from the trip.
Just north of Deer River, and just east of Winnie/Cutfoot. We're still working on getting the pics up, having some trouble with files. Was a lot of fun, if you're ever in that area, a VERY nice lake to fish, lots of structure, and easy to cover a good portion of the lake in a day.
Three-fourths of the Earth's surface is water, and one-fourth is land. It is quite clear that the good Lord intended us to spend triple the amount of time fishing as taking care of the lawn. ~ Chuck Clark
