Centerville lake water temp is up above 72 degrees. But the water is still fairly clear (for centerville).. Went out this week and drifted about 1.5 MPH from in front of waterworks to the pumphouse... Just drifted that over and over with a gold spinner. All in all I came up with some crappie, perch, bass and 4 nice northerns. My biggest northern was about 8 lbs.. We fished for about 3 hours.
Gold was the key as it usually is for centerville. We tried several other colors and gold was the only to catch pike. Most the fish were in 10 to 13 ft of water. And the perch were deeper and pretty darn big compared to normal.
Even eminent chartered accountants are known, in their capacity as fishermen, blissfully to ignore differences between seven and ten inches, half a pound and two pounds, three fish and a dozen fish. ~ William Sherwood Fox, Silken Lines and Silver Hooks, 1954
