Spent a relaxing day on Red this week. Cant beat the fishing for eyes. You can keep 4 walleyes up to 20 inches now and if your looking for a meal and some filets to take home, get there soon. This bite does not last all summer. Most fish were caught between 8 and 10 ft. especially where you find some gravel rubble. I also had some success fishing a line of foam that had formed from currents in the lake. Used mainly spottails and jigs, but quite honestly, plastics work just as well.
If you've got short, stubby fingers and wear reading glasses, any relaxation you would normally derive from fly fishing is completely eliminated when you try to tie on a fly. ~ Jack Ohman, Fear of Fly Fishing, 1988
