Finally got the boat out Memorial Day afternoon with 18 medium-sized suckers. Caught a 3 lb pike drifting down the eastern shore weedline and then anchored at northeast corner in about 14 feet depth. Bobber fished at 10 feet and caught 5 bass and a musky, all about 3 lbs. I was fighting the musky in a circle around the back of the boat and when it got to the side it jumped into the boat! First time that's happened to me. The hook fell out so it was only out of the water about 5 seconds. Beautiful healthy fish.
I forgot my underwater Aqua-vu so I didn't get to Video Fish, but it was fun anyway.
Even eminent chartered accountants are known, in their capacity as fishermen, blissfully to ignore differences between seven and ten inches, half a pound and two pounds, three fish and a dozen fish. ~ William Sherwood Fox, Silken Lines and Silver Hooks, 1954
