Anybody!

Please tell me where you would go to catch some Crappies, Sunnies in or near St Paul or surrounding suburbs. I've heard that folks have even caught Bass in Lake Phalen. I'm near Lake Phalen.
Heeeeeelp.

I've got a strong feeling you'll get lots of ideas including the Mississippi.. but here's the DNR's Ramsey County list CLICK HERE... each choice is clickable with descriptions.

Even a BAD day of fishing is better than a good day of work; paydays excluded!

Are you looking for good sized fish or just for numbers of them?

Do you have a boat?

If you have a boat I would go with Webdudes suggestions.

If you don't have a boat and you're just looking for some easy shore fishing then I would think most of the city lakes will work. I haven't fished many of them but small panfish shouldn't be hard to come by from shore right now. Most lakes have fishing piers you could try.

I know como lake is full of small sunfish. I probably wouldn't eat anything out of there but you should be able to catch a few.

You could also try McCarrons or Josephine.
