I was wondering if anyone can tell me when the salmon and or trout stop running in the rivers along the North Shore of Lake Superior. My wife and I are heading up to the cabin for the 1st week of June and thinking if we could go up to the North Shore for one day and do some fishing it would be great. I just don't know if the fish are still in the rivers that late, can anyone help me out here? Thank you,
The rivers on the Duluth end are done for the most part, there are still some steelhead coming in on this end of shore, but the lakes should be starting in here soon(know that the ice is gone) lots of Trout lakes up here.
People who fish for food, and sport be damned, are called pot-fishermen. The more expert ones are called crack pot-fishermen. All other fishermen are called crackpot fishermen. This is confusing. ~ Ed Zern, 1947
