Well... Things were not quite up to the usual standard for BSL this weekend... though I still had a great time. My boat caught about 35 'eyes along with 20 or so very nice crappies. I got a 14" that I am waiting for the pic and I will post it when I get it. We were all over the place... rivers, narrows, big lake, north end, Aitkin flowage... and it was tough. I usually catch a hundred or so walleyes over the opener and this year only managed to nab twelve with 5 in the livewell. We also tried a variety of techniques and bait... jigging, Lindys, plain hook, raps, drifting, anchored, trolling, fatheads, crappie minnows, rainbows, shiners, worms, leeches, etc... we worked hard. First time ever that I had leeches left on Monday... oh well.

Ahhh I gotcha! Thanks for the clarification. I was racking my brain trying to think of lakes that fit into BSL.

Good report WebDude! This was my first opener on Big Sandy and I have to say I had a great time. Nice size fish. We did not catch no where near the number,s you did, but what we did catch were perfect eater's(15 to 19").

I wanted to try some different area's, but my motor was acting up and limited my options. We did not even get Sat afternoon and Sat night. I putted out Sunday am and managed to get 5 more.

I hope to make BSL an annual opener trip.
