Just thought I'd share my picture of one of the bald eagles in Duluth.. This one is one of hte 3 or 4 that live by the baseball field at Ordean Middle School...I was there taking pictures of the baseball game going on and had to go grab a couple Eagle shots while I had the chance. The eagle is too far in the woods with my camera lens to get any decent shots of it IN it's nest..

I haven't had any OTHER eagle opportunities but I'd love to get one where it's carrying a fish .. I'm sure in the coming years I'll be in the right place at the right time smile smiley

As mentioned above it is from Duluth's Ordean Middle School where Duluth East plays their baseball games.. it's nest is about 200 feet from the outfield fench and the eagle buzzes the field occasionally... after the game and during the JV game it was chasing smaller birds around.. not sure if it was protecting it's babies or going after a meal but I'd already put my camera away at that point.

This picture was before the other on it's first time around when it did a complete loop.. I messed up the tail feathers a bit making the sky blue because it had an ugly cloud above it that I didn't want there.

Hey Sportsnut,

Cool picture.

If you want to get one carrying a fish head out on Fish Lake in Duluth. The far west side of the lake has several eagles and its pretty common to see them swooping in for a meal this time of year with the fish up shallow.

They usually hang out around the shallow bays. It should atleast give you better chance at catching them in the act. Bring your pole as well since there is some good walleye and bluegill action back there in the spring.
