Is anyone else blown away by this? It looked like half the DNR Fisheries mucky mucks and a boat load of professional walleye guys and all they could manage was a 15 inch Pike and a few out of season Bass? This doesn't do much for my confidence in the DNR; actually it looks a little embarrassing. I wonder what the Walleye stocking guys have to say about this. I thought I heard somewhere that WBL had a ton of recent stocking?
Saturday I was over in Wisconsin taking kids from a Junior Bass Club out fishing. They had a great time and caught a ton of fish. Nothing huge, but plenty of fun. Water temp. was about 54 and it looked like the bass will start spawning in a week or two.
I have an idea; lets hold the Minnesota Governors opener in Wisconsin next year and he can see if he can out fish some kids.
If you've got short, stubby fingers and wear reading glasses, any relaxation you would normally derive from fly fishing is completely eliminated when you try to tie on a fly. ~ Jack Ohman, Fear of Fly Fishing, 1988
