high guys & gals i am planning a fishing trip this june with my 10 year old son to rainy lake. can any of you provide any info on lure selection colurs etc. any info would be greatly apperciated.

welcome bandhunter,i have fished there a few times and we had good luck the light green jigs also shad raps that look like a perch good luck,are you guys camping on the island?

yes we plan on camping in voyageurs. just trying to do some home work thank you the info. hopefully we can get a decent spot with it being the holiday. are perch the main forage?

unlike LOW, The primary forage base on Rainy is smelt, shiners and white fish. Suckers are also plentiful. June fish will still be shallow so key on blues/whites/silvers, and if its dark/cloudy out try chartreuse, good luck
