Here's an interesting idea. How about you tell us one random fact about yourself that people here probably don't already know.

The more random the better, I'll start it off.

You probably don't know that I play competetive Ultimate Frisbee and have done so for the past 8 years. Some of you might not even know what Ultimate Frisbee is. Its a combination of a couple sports, it draws from Soccer, football, and a little basketball but it is played with a disc (a 175 gram white disccraft disc to be exact). It most closely resembles soccer. A team of 7 players passes the disc back and forth and attempts to advance it into the endzone. You can not run with the disc the only progress the disc can make is through the air. A dropped disc or an interception is a turnover and the opposing team is immediately on offense. Its fast paced and a great workout.

So what about the rest of you. What other random things/interests/etc are you not telling us?

I've played in the World Series of Poker Main event. That cost me the $10,000 Entry fee to get in. I almost won a birth "free" in a Satellite Tourney on-line which would have got me into the Tourney for free.

I busted out early with pocket Aces against pocket Tens. He hit a 4 card flush on the River and sent me Packing...DOH!

Not to worry though, I plan on making more than the $250 I profited at last years Walleye opener on BSL..... smile smiley

I spent a year hitchhiking across the US and Canada. Started in Minnesota and went to New York, then up into Canada, across Canada and up to Alaska, then down to California and back to Minnesota. This was back in the day when hitching a ride was probably a lot safer then it is now.

I studied abroad with 34 other students in 2001 in China for my last 12 credits needed to graduate from Bemidji State University. We traveled from Inner Mongolia (camping in a Yurt) to Hong Kong (5 Star Hotels) and everywhere in between grin smiley. We climbed the Great Wall and saw the Terracotta Warriors, I have lots of great pictures from that trip. I wouldn't trade it for anything, it was by far the most amazing trip I have ever been on!

PB - I don't plan on giving you any of my money on this opener smile smiley !

PB, did you atleast get to play against any of the big name players? That would be worth at least a little of the $10,000 buy in.

I want to get into more tournamnets. I've only done small local tourneys and usually do pretty well although some of the tourneys I have played were not drawing very good players. But it is a skill to survive in a tournament when people are playing garbage.

BD,
The study abroad experience is pretty cool. My wife studied abroad a lot in college. She spent a month in London, a month in Egypt, a month in Tanzania (on Safahri), and 4 months in Vienna Austria. She now works for the U of M and plans these trips for a living.
