Jigs have 3 basic parts. Some may argue they only have two, some say 4, but for this purpose I'm going to say the hook is part of the jig head and stick with three: the lead head, the skirt and the trailer.



What part of the jig catches you the most fish? The head, the skirt or the trailer?

I always thought a jig&pig was a jig with a pork rind hooked on it,tells ya how much I know about bass fishing. confused smiley

Actually Spot, you're right. Pork trailers were used before the advent of soft plastics. Some folks still prefer the real thing.

I don't know why? They taste nothing like bacon wink smiley
