I had the oportunity to fish up in Kabetogama the past weekend. Saturday was by far the better day as far as the weather was concerned. Me and my buddy caught some nice 'eyes and a few monster perch in about 20 feet using jigheads and minnows. Fished mostly the mouth of Ash River and Lost Bay. Nothing was frozen yet but it won't be long before the hard water comes. Looking forward to some good ice fishing this winter. Heck, I am always looking forward to some kind of fishing. Won't be too long now and I will have to put the boat away. Time to get the snow stuff out.
Even eminent chartered accountants are known, in their capacity as fishermen, blissfully to ignore differences between seven and ten inches, half a pound and two pounds, three fish and a dozen fish. ~ William Sherwood Fox, Silken Lines and Silver Hooks, 1954
