Howdy MF7, Welcome to MFP. I haven't fished clearwater in a few years but when I did fish it it was one the better lakes around that area.I would have to say your family made a good choice. It is a great smallmouth lake. When I fished it I didn't catch alot of walleyes but when I did find them they were quality fish. The lake has alot of structure so you wont figure it out over night but when you learn this lake you'll be happy. There are alot of deep rock piles that hold smallys & wallys in the summer. There is a nice inside turn in front of the camp boat landing that i've caught nice walleyes from. You now have my hot tip for the day. I hope you enjoy your new place. I've always said that if I got a cabin some where that clearwater lake would be in my top 3 and I have fished alot of lakes.
Hey metrofisher7 I was just thinking seeing as you will be spending alot of time at the new cabin you might want to make up a list of things you want to know about the lake.I could think of many things I would like to know. Then I would hire a guide for a day and gobble up all of the information he could help you with.I think it would be 150 bucks well spent and give you some valuable info. about your new fishing hole. Oars n mine bait shop in crosby has a guide service. I have never used them but I would call them and ask jesse if he or anybody else knows anything about clearwater.Good luck! P.S. Find out where the deep cabbage beds are!!!!!

Three-fourths of the Earth's surface is water, and one-fourth is land. It is quite clear that the good Lord intended us to spend triple the amount of time fishing as taking care of the lawn. ~ Chuck Clark
