Personally I haven't had a problem with Fleet Farm. I actually really like the place for fishing gear. In Lakeville Fleet Farm and Gander Mountain are with a half mile of each other so they are easy to comparision shop. Fleet Farm almost always has the lower price on fishing gear so I get most of my stuff there.
If you don't like a stores return policy then you are more then welcome to shop else where. Hopefully you were more polite in person they you were in your previous posts. If not then I don't blame the store manager if they didn't give you a refund.
Life's too short to get that bent out of shape over a stores return policy. Take a deep breath, count to 10, and go out and catch a fish. Now thats good medicine.
i agree with nofishermen i love mills sometimes things dont always go the way you want them too.if they were broke after they left the store on a item like that, its hard for someone to return that a lot of things could have happened.i hope the new ones you buy work better.
You bought some decoys at Mills Fleet Farm. The decoys carried a 30 day return period. You did not return the items within the 30 day period but in fact hunted with them during that time.
You then tried to return the used decoys to get a refund or store credit for merchandise after the return/refund deadline.
When they refused to refund/credit you then you got mouthy with the store management and are also out stirring up ill will towards them. It certainly seems they were more than fair. If you knew 5 minutes into the trip they were of no value then simply return them inside the 30 days. Otherwise, you decided to keep them...they are then yours! It seems you bought the decoys, hunted with them this year, then wanted to go get a refund once the season was over with.
Seems to me that you are the one who is way out of line here..not Mills Fleet Farm! Perhaps using a bit of maturity in your future purchases and following interactions with those establishments would be in order. Just a thought.
I never got mouthy with the store manager? You came to that conclusion on your own. I was very professional and just took my complaint to the next level. After emailing the same message to the regional manager - he agreed that the decoys should be refunded. I know that a 30 day return policy means that you need to return a product within 30 days - but I guess I believe that any and all products should carry a one year warranty on them. Some of us lead busy lives and don't have time to take care of the little things at a moments whim - 'dude'.
I suggest that you get the facts straight before jumping on the offensive in the future.
I agree witht the other posters - enjoy life - but don't let people screw you over either...
In your defense I think people are a little biased towards Fleet Farm because it's pretty much awesome in most ways..
Also I never felt a rude vibe from what you've written. Sounds like a legitamet complaint.
I know way back in the day when I worked at sears we definately stood behind the products and always listened to the complaint regardless of the techincalities of a return policy. More times than not the customer was refunded.
Sounds like you got the regional manager to side with you. Did he pull some string and get your refund?
