Hello: Can anyone share a good spot to bring three teenage boys for a week of fishin? Looking for maybe a small cabin, not too fancy (shower would be a plus !! ), some where in northern Minn. Looking to get into some walleye, pike, and some larger gills. Will be bring own boat. Not looking for a lot of people to rub elbows with, but hopfully within 30 min. of a town of some sort ( pop, pizza, chips, ect. 3-boys ya-know ). Comming from Mich. so a little extra drive time, and rough roads or rough landings are O.K.. Thanks in advance !!

Hey tvwhome,

Welcome to My Fishing Pals, glad to have you aboard!

"within 30 min. of a town" means pretty much all of Minnesota. Winnie, Mille Lacs, White Chain, Gull... err.. sometimes Leech... All have walleyes and enough amenities around to keep you and the kids happy. Even around the metro, there are some great crappie and musky lakes.

If you're willing to go far enough north, the BWCA and the surrounding lakes can be very good. Ely might be available, you might want to check out VoyaguerNorth's site and give her a call. She could probably give you better info then I on up there.

Hey Lynn, give this guy a hand!

Patience will get you fish, you just gotta figure out where.

I have August openings at my rental cabin on Lake Vermilion. Not only a great fishing lake, but everything available that you need. Some of the best pizza in northern Minnesota is 20 min away or can be delivered! Cabin has satellite TV just in case. Give me a call or view my website at lakevermilion.com then go to private cabins for rent, then to Moccasin Point, then to Klos cabin. Or call me, 218-666-0359, or e-mail kklos@2z.net
