So I go on a week long fishing trip with my buddy every year. We often get a cabin, but due to budget contraints (he just bought a house on Crooked Lake in Coom Rapids). We are going to use one of his parents time share locations. We like to fish for pike, bass, and anything that will bite, but not really into walleye fishing so much. I also prefere smaller sized lakes but will venture onto larger sizedlakes on occasion. Our options are these three locals. I am leaning towards Park Rapids, as I really want to try Man-trap, and would love to try to get onto Bad Axe somehow even though there is on a public access. In case it matters we will go in mid-June.

People who fish for food, and sport be damned, are called pot-fishermen. The more expert ones are called crack pot-fishermen. All other fishermen are called crackpot fishermen. This is confusing. ~ Ed Zern, 1947
