It was a nice multispecies weekend for me. I had plenty of people to fish with including my fair weathered family! I brought my wheelhouse out to Pokegema Lake Saturday morning and set my oldest son up with his buddy for an overnight stay. I met up with some friends and we drilled holes and fished outside in the beautiful weather. We started the day with a White bass and then I landed a 5lb largemouth! I did not have my camera until later so the largemouth went back down the hole. It didnt really start to happen for us until 3:30 then we layed the smack down to the crappies and sunnies. My daughter and wife were having a blast. Everything we caught was on the JIG by Crappie Keith. Once again they were on the small side but fun none the less. Enjoy the pics!
Crappie Attack the I fish mainly in the 13-17 foot range and use small hair jigs. There is an island close to the north end of the lake that many people have houses around. That is a nice spot early but be prepared to move when people start showing up. Move to the outside edge of the crow and get back into it. Dont be shy using wax worms, euro and minnows. Pink and white with a morning bite has been working. Drop me a private email using my profile and let me know when your going to be there and maybe I can drop in with some tips!
People who fish for food, and sport be damned, are called pot-fishermen. The more expert ones are called crack pot-fishermen. All other fishermen are called crackpot fishermen. This is confusing. ~ Ed Zern, 1947
