i understand the slot size between 19.5-28 must be put back into the waters immediately, and i understand that you can have 8 fish, with no more than 4 being walleyes for this time of the year.
my question is this because the place that we are renting our ice house out of didn't really say and the DNR hasn't really given us a clear cut answer. so i was wondering if anyone here knew....
we are going FRI-SAT-SUN now are we allowed a limit of 8 fish per day? or are we allowed a limit of 8 fish for the trip?
You can only have 8 fish when you leave the lake! If your in a sleeper you can have a meal of fish, but have to save the remains to prove what it was and how long it was. You then have to despose of the remains after that day. Bring to shore, or give to the resort people when they check up on you.Im leaving for LOTWs in 1 hr. Going out of Adrians over Pine Island. Lets post our trips when we get back and see how we each did. Good luck and DRESS WARM!
I'll have to check on that....i was up there with a resident of the area on the 1st and that is what he told me....so i was just going by that...sorry if i am wrong Just looked it up and you are correct sir...8 fish with no more than 4 being walleyes!
thanks guys... that is what i thought it was... that no matter what it could only be those 8 fish (per person) with no more than 4 being walleyes.
i was up there a few years back and it was different the resort place we were at gave us a limit for each day. which i thought was a bit strange.
i am not exactly sure which place my dad got us a house out of, but i am leaving 5am friday, and will be back late sunday, i will let everyone know how i did,a nd will try to get some pics.
good luck to everyone going out fishing every where, bundle up and catch em!
